Mute Downloads

Mute is an extensible modular sequencer/tracker, designed to be 1:1 compatible to Jeskola Buzz, currently in development stage. It is primarily being developed for the Linux operating system, but also builds and runs on Windows.

These are the downloadable releases for Mute. If you are interested in building Mute from SVN, please see the build manual.

Gentoo

Thanks to Hanno Böck, Gentoo is the first distribution having Mute packages. To install mute, enter the following:

# echo "media-sound/mute ~x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
# emerge mute

Windows

Thanks to Pieter Holtzhausen for preparing the Win32 build. In order to run Mute, you also need Python 2.5 and wxPython 2.6.
