Testing

The best way to test Buzé is try to play all .BMX-files you got on your harddisk in a row. If/when Buzé crashes after playing many songs in a row, please restart Buzé, go back 2-3 songs and listen from there. It usually works. A quick way to open previous song is to press Ctrl-O, F4, Arrow-Down, Enter, Enter. :-)

This process of testing is good to find combinations of songs and machines that crash. Some times, this can help pinpointing problems in the host that needs to be addressed.

When you have tested all your songs this way, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Player and check for "Use for parallell mixer". Then goto start and test all .BMX-files on your harddisk again. Users on single CPU systems should notice only aux machines do not work. On the other hand, the parallell mixer is not so well tested, and could use some testing on systems with dual cores, hyper-threading, etc.

If you find a combination of loading and songs which cause problems, please issue a new ticket and attach the files in question there.

If there seems to be a specific machine problem, it'd help more if you can isolate the problem in a song. For testing with beta or rare machines, please send the machine dlls along as well.
