Description

Midi recording does not work with Polac vst(i). VST effects and instruments do receive midi events like notes and CC commands, but the events are not recorded when recording is enabled.

It's working fine for me with 0.4.7, and has been for many previous versions too. Perhaps the original user is trying to say that the information doesn't show up in realtime in the pattern editor. I personally have to go to another screen and then go back to pattern editor to see the newly-recorded data. Sounds like a refreshing problem in case of MIDI input during record.

The information gets recorded fine, but it doesn't show up automatically in the pattern editor.

Now that I tested it again, Buze does record midi CC messages. I've must done something wrong previously.

There is however something wrong either in my setup or Buze. Notes are recorded only (using external midi keyboard) if the machine is selected in machine view so that it is surrounded by dotted line. And even then velocity and delay are not recorded. At least using Polac vsti. Is there some setting that I've missed?

Previous poster is right about the pattern view update bug.

I played a bit with new Buze 0.4.8 and here are some findings regarding this issue. Tested with latest polac vsti adapter.

* Modulation wheel works ok and mod wheel events are recorded as expected.
* Pitch bend does not work i.e. vst instrument does not react with this event. I wonder if there is something that filters out some midi events?
* Note volume and delay are not recorded. This is very important feature when recording "live".

Please fix these in 0.4.9 and you make one user very happy ;)
