No obvious way of creating connections

Reported by: user Owned by: somebody
Priority: minor Milestone:

Description

There is currently no beginner-friendly way of creating arbitrary connections in Aldrin. Middle-click drag is undocumented, and relies on Buzz lore.

Possible solutions, in order of preference (by no means mutually exclusive): - Have a designated area of the module from which left-dragging creates a connection. Examples: Patchage, ALSA Modular Synthesizer - Have "Connect" or something similar in the context menu (right-click menu) of the modules - Change to a toolbar-based UI in which a suitable button (perhaps with a patch cord) changes to the patch tool

As an easy half-solution, how about a tooltip that says "Hold shift to make an audio connection" or something, which pops up when hovering over a machine? Or some other type of dynamic help message, perhaps in the "ready to rok again" space?
