Multiple tracks versus presets

There was some discussion on the mailing list a few weeks ago about two things:

-if a plugin has more tracks than one of its presets, then the preset tracks should be re-used to set all the plugin tracks. Eg if plugin has 5 tracks and preset has 3, then set the plugin tracks: 1 2 3 1 2.

-when adding a new track, it'd be convenient to initialise its values to be the same as the previous track.

Attached patches implement these two features.

I also think it would be useful to have the option to slave tracks together -- so that if I move one track parameter then the same parameter in other tracks of the same machine move too.

How would this work? Hold a shift-key, perhaps? Maybe a checkbox near the top of the rack? (Paniq was against adding a checkbox, I think.)
